I haven’t seen a movie in a loooong time, and just realised I don’t really miss it. More than happy with my books! I spend so much time in front of a damn screen working on my writing projects and keeping up with online communications, that it’s really nice to get away from it and just take a book with me to the park or beach. With everyone now carrying their screens around with them (smartphones, iPads, etc.), sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who feels this way… Or am I?
This is a scrapbook made of pixels, serving mostly as a repository for all the interesting and inspiring things I find online. Art, funky music, literature, counterculture, ecology, postcolonialism, and anarchism are a few of the things that move me. But there is no me, only a collection of selves that happen to co-habit under the common rubric of Marco Cuevas-Hewitt. "Difference is happy", a quote from Deleuze's book on Nietzsche, sums up the ethic we live by.
