Van Gogh and Nietzsche would have been best friends. What a shame they never met. Both shared such intensity and passion for life, but were lonely and misunderstood by their contemporaries. Finding this through a quick Google search made me realise I’m not the only one to have noticed the affinities between the two.

Sharing here my analysis of the #Occupy movement and related struggles for anyone who’s interested. It’s written from a Nietzschean anarchist perspective, and will feature in an upcoming edited collection on “Rethinking Resistance”. Any feedback on how I can improve it would be greatly appreciated! Hope you’ll find it an inspiring read at the very least =)
Nietzsche published his first book, “The Birth of Tragedy”, when he was just 28 years old. I’m thinking that maybe all those cats back then were able to be brilliant at such a young age because they weren’t constantly distracted on the internet!
Nietzsche’s “Birth of Tragedy” setting my mind alight!
